I found the writing to be fine, after all this was a non-fiction piece, not a work of literature. The author opened my mind to group manipulation, as to how those heading the group will make the problems of those attending appear larger than they really are, often seemingly overwhelming ones, in which case the individuals in the group immediately feel they need the help of the group leaders. According to the author, dark psychology is “the study of human behaviour that relates to people's mindset and thought process that lead them to prey upon other humans.” Also explored os what he calls the "Dark Triad,” which is made up of three traits: narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy. It’s all pretty fascinating stuff to someone who’s a boob. Especially the parts where he analyzes the motivations of the narcissists, et al. It’s not a perfect book, and I can understand the opinions of the other reviewers; there are typos and the editing is not right. But, Mr Mind did a good job explaining everything in a clear fashion. I had taken a class on it during my undergraduate program. Some of these concepts are covered here, but I read this to apply the concepts in everyday situations. Most of the information presented is theory-based book knowledge. I was hoping for some case studies, but there are none. Also, the author pushes a sign-up to a website. If I don't take advantage of the free bonus on page one. Please don't make me see it five more times as I'm reading.
